About Us
GeoLiteracy brings decades of experience in environmental program strategy and evaluation to help you optimize your efforts and maximize your environmental results.
Hey! I’m Katie Butler. I have a heart for nature and a head for science. I founded the GeoLiteracy Project in 2021 after 25 years of helping improve government environmental programs. To get better results, I know that sometimes people just need better information. Sometimes, a change of perspective is all it takes.
I think interdisciplinary research and mixed methods provide us with the most interesting information about how we can get better results. I’m at my best when solving particularly tricky problems that require innovative scientific know-how, expert mediation, and leadership intervention.
I love a tricky problem, and I love uncovering and implementing an elegant solution even more. Let’s chat about how we can help you save the Earth faster.
